Warrior Athletic programs play an integral and essential role in the overall educational experience and mission at Emmanuel Christian. Our primary goal is that our teams, dedicated coaches, and passionate fans consistently exemplify Christ in their actions and attitudes, making biblically-based decisions while participating in and watching our various sports. While winning is certainly a high and commendable goal, we believe that honoring our Lord and fostering a spirit of integrity and respect is the highest and most important goal we can strive for in all our athletic endeavors.
Our athletic trainer, Mr. Brian Stout, has been an athletic trainer for 6 years. He completed his bachelors from Anderson University and his graduate degree in athletic training from The University of Toledo. He has experience in a lot of different settings but enjoys the opportunity of working in a high school setting to increase exposure and interest for different orthopedic fields to high school students.
Our athletic director, Mr. Sed Harris, has a heart to see every athlete pursue the Lord no matter their athletic ability. He has an open door and encourages our players to give their all on and off the field or court. He is an amazing addition to Emmanuel and is building up our programs in great ways.
Emmanuel Christian is committed to upholding the standards set by the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA). Since joining the OHSAA in 2015, the school has provided its Warrior teams and individual athletes the opportunity to partake in post-season tournaments, fostering a spirit of competition and sportsmanship. Adhering to the OHSAA bylaws and regulations ensures that all athletes compete fairly and with integrity. This membership highlights EC's dedication to excellence in athletics and the importance of a balanced, respectful sports culture.
TAAC
Emmanuel Christian is a charter member of the Toledo Area Athletic Conference (TAAC). The TAAC is comprised of several Division 3 and 4-sized schools in the Toledo area including: Cardinal Stritch, Emmanuel Christian, Maumee Valley Country Day, Northwood, Ottawa Hills and Toledo Christian. The conference sponsors league championships, all-league teams, and other events.
The Warriors are also members of a local soccer conference known as the Northwest Ohio High School Soccer League. The Warriors have won many league and state titles which are on display in our lobby and the Roy Parmelee Gymnasium on campus.
Emmanuel Christian is excited to participate in these organizations and have the opportunity to share Christ and the gospel with other area schools.
FACILITIES
Emmanuel Christian School is blessed to have excellent athletic facilities. The (main) Parmelee Gymnasium is a full sized basketball/volleyball court with bleacher space for up to 500 spectators. The Parmelee also has 6 retractable basketball hoops, men’s and women’s locker rooms, a weight room and a fully loaded concession stand. The Dunbar (secondary) gym serves as a multi-purpose facility and as a practice gym.
A well-lit soccer field allows matches to be played under the lights. There is bleacher seating for 200 spectators, a press box and an outdoor concession stand. ECS also has separate well-manicured baseball and softball fields with covered dugouts.
